This is a comprehensive teaching material for university students who have completed studying elementary-level Japanese. This is the first book in what will be a series of three for those aiming to acquire the Japanese B1 and B2 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Each lesson has a three-step task based on themes such as “Planning a Trip” and “Thinking about Differences". The vocabulary, sentence patterns, and expressions are all translated into English. Both themes and tasks become more complicated as the lessons progress, and by studying through this book, you can naturally mover from the upper beginner level to the intermediate level.
