This is a new edition of the Upper Intermediate book in the Comprehensive Japanese Practice through Specific Topics – From Identifying Themes to Making Presentations series.

As it would soon be 10 years since the revised edition was published, all old graphs and data have been revised.

The series was created for the purpose of developing Japanese language proficiency for study and research purposes and allows learners to search for a theme from a certain topic, and through activities such as research, considering the information, and making presentations, the learner can develop various abilities.

The topics - education, language, communication, folktales, and housing - have been selected so that they can be shared across countries, even if the backgrounds, interests, and specializations of learners are diverse.
